Delete your data
Delete it yourself (straight away)
- Log in on dineyo.com or in the Dineyo app with your phone number.
- Open Account › Delete my account, or go to dineyo.com/delete-account.
- Type DELETE and confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.
Or ask us by email
If you can't log in, or you only want part of your data deleted, email support@dineyo.com with the subject Delete my Dineyo data and the phone number on your account. We may send a code to that number to check it's you. We complete requests within 7 days and email you when it's done.
- To stop promotions only, reply STOP to any Dineyo WhatsApp promotion, or switch off Deals on WhatsApp in Account › Notifications.
- Deleting your account removes your WhatsApp preferences and stops all messages from Dineyo. Messages already delivered stay on your phone; you can delete the chat in WhatsApp.
What we delete
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your reviews
- Your notification and WhatsApp settings, and the app's device tokens
- Prime membership, unused promotional credit, and any wallet balance you choose to give up
- Upcoming bookings are cancelled
What we keep, and why
Records of payments (amount, date, restaurant and receipt number) are kept for 7 years because Rwandan tax and accounting law requires it. They are no longer linked to your name or phone number. Past bookings stay in the restaurant's records without your name or number. Daily backups are overwritten within 14 days.
Restaurant accounts
Restaurant owners and Dineyo team accounts are closed by Dineyo support. Email support@dineyo.com.
