Welcome to Dineyo, a digital platform that connects diners in Rwanda with restaurants offering exclusive discounts and easy table reservations. By using our services—whether through our website, mobile application, or other channels—you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms govern your relationship with Dineyo and our partner restaurants, so please read them carefully.
1. Definitions
- “Dineyo”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the company operating the Dineyo platform.
- “User”, “you”, or “your” means any individual or entity using our platform to make reservations, access discounts, or interact with our services.
- “Restaurant Partner” means any restaurant listed on Dineyo offering reservations and/or discounts.
- “Platform” refers to the Dineyo mobile app and website.
2. Eligibility
Dineyo is open to users who are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into agreements under Rwandan law. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet these criteria and will use our services only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others or violate any applicable laws in Rwanda.
3. What We Offer
Dineyo is a facilitator that allows users to browse, reserve, and dine at partner restaurants across Rwanda, often at discounted rates. We do not prepare or serve food ourselves. Our role is limited to promoting restaurants, publishing offers, and enabling reservations.
Discounts and promotional deals are offered by our restaurant partners and are subject to change. While we strive to keep information accurate and updated, restaurants may occasionally change or withdraw offers without prior notice, and we do not assume liability for such changes.
4. Making and Canceling Reservations
When you make a reservation through Dineyo, you agree to show up on time and honor your booking. If you need to cancel, we ask that you do so at least two hours in advance so that we could refund the booking fees. Repeated cancellations or no-shows may lead to temporary or permanent suspension of your account.
Likewise, restaurant partners may cancel or adjust reservations due to unforeseen operational reasons. While this is rare, Dineyo will inform you as soon as possible if such changes occur.
5. Discount Usage
Discounts and promotional deals listed on Dineyo are valid only for reservations made through our platform. These offers cannot be clubbed with other ongoing promotions unless specifically mentioned. Each offer may come with terms like applicable time slots, menu exclusions, or group size restrictions, so we recommend checking the details before booking.
6. Responsibility of Restaurant Partners
All restaurants listed on Dineyo are expected to:
- Comply with Rwanda’s food safety regulations and maintain valid operational licenses.
- Honor all reservations and discounts made through our platform.
- Notify Dineyo promptly of any changes to their availability, hours, or offerings. If a restaurant is found violating health, safety, or operational standards set by the Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) or Rwanda Development Board (RDB), Dineyo reserves the right to delist the restaurant immediately.
7. User Responsibilities
As a user, you agree not to misuse the Dineyo platform. This includes refraining from making false reservations, impersonating others, misusing promotional codes, or posting inappropriate or defamatory reviews. Dineyo reserves the right to monitor user activity and may suspend or permanently remove accounts that violate these conditions.
- Health, Safety & Public Compliance
Your safety is important to us. All restaurant partners must comply with the relevant public health laws and food hygiene practices as laid out by authorities in Rwanda. In times of public health concerns—such as during pandemics—restaurants are also expected to enforce government-mandated safety protocols. Dineyo performs periodic checks to ensure that our restaurant partners meet minimum hygiene and safety standards.
- Privacy and Data Protection
We take your privacy seriously. Dineyo collects user data (such as name, email address, phone number, and reservation history) strictly for purposes related to reservations, customer support, promotions (with consent), and improving user experience. All personal data is handled in compliance with Rwanda’s Data Protection Law (Law No. 058/2021). For more information, please refer to our dedicated Privacy Policy.
- Intellectual Property
All content on the Dineyo platform—including our logo, design, graphics, and software—is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without our express written permission.
- Limitation of Liability
While we work hard to ensure a reliable experience, Dineyo is not responsible for the actual dining experience, food quality, or service provided by the restaurants. We are also not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our platform. In case of errors in reservation processing or system outages, our liability is limited to the value of the reservation itself.
- Updates to Terms
These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Dineyo after updates means you accept and agree to the new terms. We recommend checking this page regularly to stay informed of any changes.
- Legal Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes arising from your use of Dineyo shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Kigali.
